Montmorency Records proudly presents the authentic sounds taken from the archives of the legendary Parisian cabaret, LIDO. The two-volume album, French Music Hall Archives 1 and 2, were taken from the Prestige Review, a show created in 1957 that mixed elegant and glowing orchestral jazz, “Sword-and-sandal” film scores, vocal pieces as well as music with glamorous, sensual, and mysterious moods.
Located at the iconic Champs-Élysées, the LIDO cabaret is a famous and iconic lounge known for its spectacular and extravagant shows, featuring dazzling costumes, elaborate sets, and talented performers.
