5 Things You Need to Know about Octopus Records

Flipper Music introduces a new library called Octopus Records! This is a boutique production music label specializing in contemporary Italian Film soundtracks and in well-known theatrical works. This exclusive collection also contains original soundtracks of Italian Films produced in the ‘70s, ‘80s, and ‘90s. Here are five things you need to know about this label: 

  1. The albums available through APM include the incredible work of these Italian composers: Mariano Detto, Fabrizio Pigliucci, Paolo Vivaldi, Gian Franco Plenizio, and Stelvio Cipriani. 

  2. You can find gems like the kitschy Spaghetti Western score to the film "Django Strikes Again" OTP-0603 (1987) and the campy B-Movie Horror films "The Great Alligator" OTP-0602 (1979). Both soundtracks are available to audition and license through APM.  

  3. If you are in need of vintage sounds, this label includes the soundtrack to the Action Thriller "Concorde Affaire" OTP-0601 (1979). 

  4. Must listen to tracks by notorious Italian composer, Stelvio Cipriani is “Underwater Mood” OTP-0602 #7, and “Dangerous Flight” OTP-0601 #1.
