Everything Everywhere All at Once

Oscars 2023 Recap & List of Winners

13 Mar 2023

By Caitlin White

The Oscars 2023 was another huge milestone for Michelle Yeoh, and her runaway hit film, Everything Everywhere All At Once, which picked up a whopping seven awards, including a few first-ever trophies. Yeoh herself won the award for Best Actress, becoming the first Asian woman to ever win in that category. The six other elements the movie won include the coveted Best Picture award, Best Director, Best Original Screenplay, Best Supporting Actress, Best Supporting Actor, which went to Ke Huy Quan, and Best Editing.

This monumental night makes Everything Everywhere All At Once the most-award picture at the Oscars since Slumdog Millionaire back in 2008, which picked up eight awards at the time. Yeoh's film had a similarly successful run at the Screen Actors Guild Awards, where it won four awards, which was enough to break the SAG record for most wins by a single film. The movie, an A24 film, also won seven awards at the Film Independent Spirit Awards earlier in March, including Best Feature.

Check out the complete list of Oscar winners below, including All Quiet on the Western Front for Best Score and Best Song for "Naatu Naatu" by M.M. Keeravaani and Chandrabose from the film RRR. Winners are in bold.
