APM Music Supports City Harvest & No Kid Hungry During COVID-19 Crisis

10 Apr 2020

Los Angeles, CA., April 10th, 2020 – COVID-19 is creating new needs and putting pressure on vulnerable populations and the non-profits who support them. The non-profits who are working directly to meet these needs require additional resources while having to pull back from their regular fundraising events and other challenges due to the issues around public gathering. Through researching our own desire to contribute, we found this guide where donors can learn more and contribute if they are able.  For APM, we have chosen two organizations to support, City Harvest, which operates in NY and No Kid Hungry who operate across the country.

City Harvest serves NYC as the city’s largest food rescue organization in what is now the epicenter of the pandemic in the U.S. For nearly 40 years, City Harvest has worked continuously to feed those struggling to put food on the table. Their network is broad, extending to hundreds of community partners across all 5 boroughs and their impact undeniable: over 800, 000 households benefit from City Harvest’s efforts.

No Kid Hungry (launched in 2010 by the non-profit Share Our Strength) is active across the entire U.S., with a razor-like focus: childhood hunger. For too many families, not being able to send kids to school means not having access to free and healthy meals. Added to the downturn of the economy and rising unemployment, this can cause real and immediate financial hardship. No Kid Hungry is working directly with schools and other organizations across the country to ensure kids are getting the nutritious meals they need during this time.

We encourage our valued clients, partners, and colleagues  to find out more about City Harvest and No Kid Hungry, and their continued positive impact.
