Turkish Suite Sets Tone for Debates

20 Apr 2010

The title track for “Siyaset Meydanı”, the most prestigious political debate program in Turkey hosted by the famous Ali Kırca is written by our chairman Dağhan Baydur. The program that is aired live from Show TV every Thursday evening lasts till the early hours of the morning.

Track 20 from Muz CD.1 Istanbul called "Turkish Suite" is a corporate symphonic piece with a strong Turkish melodic line. The piece was recorded in the Air Studios London owned by Sir George Martin and brought to life by London Session Orchestra compiled by musicians from London Symphony and London Philharmonic Orchestras.

On another note, on the same CD you will find the track "Turkish Bolero," which is a vibrant and original version inspired by Maurice Ravel’s Bolero.  The critics at the time of Bolero’s composition made fun of Ravel by calling him "L' Horloger Suis" meaning Swiss clockmaker.  In comparison to this Dağhan Baydur has been compared to the Terminator in the field of Copyright.
