Andrea Saparoff

Andrea Saparoff

Andrea literally entered this world hearing beautiful music. Her father was an A-list violinist in Hollywood regularly playing on studio gigs and major motion picture sessions.

Andrea began her musical studies on the violin at age five and later added cello and guitar to her instrumental repertoire. Her classical training gives her the musical chops to understand, appreciate and compose within a wide range of musical styles—from hip hop to Tuvan throat singing. She’s composed and arranged for traditional orchestra, but she is particularly passionate about mixing unusual sounds, textures and the latest in sampled ear candy to create powerful, eclectic music that is both accessible and refreshingly unique.

Andrea has scored a variety of movies, TV themes, pilots and specials for ABC, NBC, CBS, Fox Broadcasting, Discovery Channel, Animal Planet, Disney Channel and ESPN, to name a few. Recent film and TV projects include: Dear Prudence, starring Jane Seymour for Hallmark Channel; A Perfect Romance for Lifetime Network; and Borrowing Time, a critically acclaimed feature documentary directed by Robert Allan Black.

Besides TV and films, Andrea has scored hundreds of commercial spots for major ad agencies. A sampling of her international commercial and media clients include: Coca Cola, EA, Nike, Nissan, Volkswagen, Hyundai, Infiniti, Lexus, Kellogg, Cheerios, United Way, Foster Farms, Nestlé, Samsonite, Enterprise Car Rental, Mattel, Clorox and Nokia.

Andrea's new album for the Sonoton library is Harmonic Journeys (SCDV 140).
