Background Information

At Ded Good Music we’ve been longing to do an album such as this for a number of years and we’re sure you’ll agree it’s been worth the wait. The composer, Jon Boorman, who’s numerous worldwide credits include Lost, Desperate Housewives, Derren Brown along with many documentaries and trailers, has produced a classy and sophisticated collection of simple piano themes specifically for serious documentary and drama. Intelligent and considered use of contemporary soundscapes and sound design elements are employed to support the piano emphasising and intensifying the dramatic highs and lows where required. With the film producer in mind, a number of alternative mixes are also available on-line via the Play website.

This album provides the filmmaker with a perfect selection of sophisticated, serious and dramatic moods for use within documentary and drama programmes. The piano and contemporary overtones combine well to give this collection a very up-to-date sound and tone, making it an ideal choice for programmes that reflect current issues and events.
