Sharon has been playing music as long as she can remember… it all started at 3 years old with two turntables, a radio and a microphone pretending to host the American Top 40.She believes music is the international language and can unite any peoples regardless of background. Because of that strong, passionate belief, Sharon has devoted her life to promoting the power of musical communication through DJ’ing on terrestrial radio, online broadcasting and in clubs; selecting music for broadcast, film and TV; interviewing key artists, composers and musicians for print and air; and, producing music videos, festivals and documentaries while even completing her Master’s Thesis on the socio-political effects of a rock and roll band. Her over 20-year career has taken her on a sonic journey that includes stops at MTV as a music programmer, Infinity Broadcasting as a music director and announcer, and the California State University system as an educator in radio, TV and film production and media management. Sharon’s path from idealistic child mimicking the national radio countdown to ethnomusicologist has fittingly brought her to APM Music where music and picture converge to tell a story.
